HOW MUCH DOES A WEBSITE COST?

It depends. The average price for a WordPress website with 5 to 7 pages is around $3000 to $3500. If we add more pages or special features, the price goes up. For example, a fully customized business website with 12 to 15 pages, and all the bells and whistles, ranges from $5500 to $7500.

All Website Build Packages include a custom design to match your brand, editing of text and photos (provided by you), and on-site Search Optimization (to help your site get found on Google). We also provide a 90-day Followup Plan to ensure you are satisfied with the results of your project.

No, the domain name is not included. If you already have a domain name we will point the DNS to your new website for you. If you need to register a new domain name, we can help you with the registration process.

No, the email service is not included. If you need a reliable email service to match your domain name, we can help you with the account setup. However, we do not provide ongoing email support and we are not able to help you setup your email on your computer, phone or other devices.

No, the website hosting is not included, except during the development stage. Your site will be launched in your own website hosting account at Cloudways Hosting. If you would prefer to host your website with a different provider, we can help you with the setup process for an additional service fee.

Yes, on-site search optimization is included with every Website Build package. This includes keyword optimization for each page of your site. After your new website is launched, we verify your site with Google Search Console. We also monitor for 90 days to make sure that Google has indexed your site and all your pages can be found.

How Our Build Process Works

Website projects take anywhere from 4 to 12 weeks from start to finish. Some website projects take longer and some take less, depending on the complexity of your project and the number of pages required.

Before we begin working together, we’ll usually have an initial chat on the phone to discuss the project. Once we get started, most of the communication will take place via email.

Using written communication makes the build process more efficient and enables us to have all the necessary information at hand. Once we’ve finished the project, we can have another chat to discuss the next steps moving forward.

If at any time during the project, you are unsure of something or would like to talk, please let us know and we will arrange a phone call.

We do our best to make sure you have an awesome build experience and that you are satisfied with the results of your project. After your new website is launched, we back our work with a 90-day Website Followup Plan, which includes web hosting, website maintenance services, Google search monitoring, and more.

We start by asking you to complete our inquiry form where you can tell us about your business, your content, your current website, and anything else you think is important.

If we think you are a good fit for our business, we will provide an estimate for your project. If the initial estimate is within your budget, we will schedule a 30-minute phone call so we can get to know a little more about you and your business. If you already have a website, we’ll talk about what you like and/or dislike about your site and about any issues you may currently be experiencing.

Sending Content For Your Website

You do. Nobody knows your business better than you. While our job is to make your website as great looking and functional as possible, we will need you to provide the written content for your site as well as recent photos, videos and/or other content.

If you don’t have the content ready for your website or you don’t have the time to put it all together, we understand. We can help you with copywriting and editing services as well as on-site photography, video production, and drone imaging services.

Before we can start your project, we will need to get some information from you. This is includes login details for any website accounts, a copy of your logo in a high-resolution format, a list of pages with text and any photos or videos that you would like to use on your site.

Here are the file formats that we will need for your project:

  • Your logo in a hi-resolution format, e.g. vector format, AI/EPS and/or PNG format
  • Photos in hi-resolution JPG format, we will edit, optimize and resize your images for you
  • Text content for each page in a Word.doc or in the body of an email message
  • Please label all your files clearly

Most files can be emailed to support@airdrieweb.ca but if you are sending hi-resolution images and/or a large group of files, you will need to use a file transfer service. We use WeTransfer.com or SendSpace.com for sending files. It’s free, and it’s easy to use.

About Website Care Plans

Just like routine maintenance for your home or vehicle, it’s important to provide ongoing care for your website to ensure it continues to work properly. Websites that are serviced on a regular basis load faster and perform better with less downtime, are more likely to maintain their Google ranking, and less likely to get hacked.

If the WordPress software is not kept up-to-date, your website may not continue to function as expected, and/or your site may become vulnerable to malware. For this reason, having a trained WordPress specialist on hand to adjust the software settings, and to update, rollback and replace plugins, is important to maintain the optimal performance of your website. More info here.

Our Website Care Plans start at $75 per month. We also offer discounts for yearly and quarterly payments, download flyer.

All Website Care Plans include Website Hosting, Secure SSL Padlock, Daily Offsite Backups, Software Updates, Security Firewall, In-House Software Licenses, and Uptime Monitoring. For more details about what’s included, click here.

Search Optimization (SEO) services are not included in the Website Care Plan. For an additional fee of $35/month, we can monitor your Google rankings on a regular basis.

If you would like to continue to build and grow your web presence, we offer custom packages in Search Optimization and Content Management that will help to improve your Google rankings.

It depends. If your website is hosted on our web server, the Website Care Plan is required. If your site gets hacked or injected with malware, the virus can spread to the other sites on our server.

If your website is hosted in your own web hosting account, the Website Care Plan is highly recommended to keep your site running smoothly and virus-free, but it is not required.

Yes, you can cancel your plan any time after the first 90 days. We ask that you give us 30 days notice so we can complete our last update of the website, provide you with a full backup, and remove our administrator credentials.

If your website is hosted on our server, your site will need to be moved to a new web hosting account. You will be responsible for any fees associated with the new account. You will also need to purchase your own license(s) for any premium software or plugins used on your website.

About Our Customer Service

Although many of our clients are based in Airdrie, we also have customers in Calgary, Balzac, Crossfield, Madden, Olds, Sundre, Rocky View County, and other communities across Alberta.

We provide ongoing support to our clients via email. Please submit your request to support@airdrieweb.ca or complete our Support Request Form and we will reply as soon as possible.

Yes, we are able to help with a variety of Website Service Requests, such as adding or updating pages, adding new images or videos, or other new features such as a photo gallery or a reviews section. Your site can also be upgraded to accept credit card payments.

If you are subscribed to a Website Care Plan, we offer a discounted hourly rate for updates to your site such as adding new text, photos or videos. This service can be a purchased as a one-time update or as part of an ongoing Content Management Plan.

If you are not subscribed to a Website Care Plan, there will be an additional fee of $150 to do a Website Maintenance Check, which includes updating the software, checking for any technical issues, and taking a full backup of your site. There will also be a short delay in scheduling your request, while the maintenance work is completed.
